Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a fresh wave of drone and missile attacks against Israel on Tuesday evening, marking the 10th such assault, according to Iran's Tasnim news agency.
Tasnim said the IRGC's Aerospace Force fired a "multitude of ballistic missiles at important and strategic targets in the occupied territories."
Earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli military reported that several missiles had been fired from Iran toward Israel, triggering air raid sirens in multiple areas, including Tel Aviv. The military said the barrage sent millions of residents in central Israel, along the coastal plain, and in the occupied West Bank rushing to shelters.
The Israeli military said the salvo included multiple ballistic missiles, most of which were intercepted. Israeli Channel 12 television reported that U.S. Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) batteries stationed in the region took part in the interceptions.
Israel's Magen David Adom rescue service said there were no reports of injuries.
The deadly aerial conflict between Iran and Israel has entered its fifth day, with at least 244 people killed in Iran and 24 in Israel. The escalation was triggered by Israel's surprise airstrikes across Iran on Friday.
