The Afghan interim government on Friday issued a strong condemnation of recent strikes by Israel on Iranian territory, including the targeted killings of senior military commanders and nuclear scientists.
"The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemns the recent Israeli regime attacks on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the assassinations of commanders and nuclear scientists. These actions constitute a clear violation of the fundamental principles of international law, particularly the respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations," Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the government, posted on his social media account X.
Afghanistan calls on all concerned parties to address this issue with a sense of responsibility and in accordance with their mandates to uphold regional peace and security and to prevent any further escalation of instability and insecurity in the region.
