A small aircraft has reportedly crashed at Southend Airport in Essex, a county in southeast England, Essex Police said on Sunday.

According to the police, they were alerted shortly before 4 p.m. local time to reports of a collision involving a 12-meter-long plane and are currently working with emergency services at the scene.

 

The East of England Ambulance Service said that four ambulances and four hazardous area response team vehicles have been dispatched to the site.
