British journalist Alex Morris chased Israeli General Oded Basyuk during his official visit to London, asking him, "Are you a war criminal, General Basyuk?"
A video posted by Declassified UK, a British investigative news website, shows journalist Alex Morris approaching Israeli General Oded Basyuk, the head of the Israeli military’s operations division, outside a building housing a British security research institution, near the UK Ministry of Defence.
Morris asked as he got closer to Basyuk, "General Basyuk, what did you discuss at the Ministry of Defence?" He then followed up as Basyuk headed towards the building, asking, "Are you concerned about the International Criminal Court investigating you for war crimes?"
Morris continued to repeatedly ask, "Are you a war criminal, General Basyuk?"
According to the report, the Israeli General, who appeared stunned and surprised by the journalist's questions, avoided answering and entered the building, while a security guard closed the door and told Morris to step back.
Morris stated in his report: "I just filmed Israeli General Oded Basyuk, who was the head of operations in Gaza during the brutal Israeli massacre over the last 15 months in Gaza. He entered the RUSI building behind me in Whitehall, London."
He added, "We heard that he had been at the Ministry of Defence earlier, with a delegation of seven or eight Israelis, including generals and other military officials."
Morris continued, "I tried to ask him several questions, but he refused to answer, and the security team closed the door in my face. It's clear they're trying to hide something. Why is this Israeli general here, and who did he meet with?"
According to the report, the Israeli delegation is visiting London to discuss a ceasefire agreement in Gaza with the British military and what might happen if the agreement collapses.
