Four people were killed and three others injured on Saturday night in an Israeli airstrike on the southern Lebanese village of Kfar Roummane, the country's Public Health Emergency Operations Center reported.
According to the National News Agency (NNA), an Israeli drone carried out the airstrike at around 10:20 p.m. local time (2020 GMT) on Saturday, targeting a four-wheel-drive vehicle with a guided missile on the Doha-Kfar Roummane road, on the eastern outskirts of the village.
Ambulance teams rushed to the scene, the NNA said.
A security source told Xinhua that the four victims were members of Hezbollah, without providing further details.
Since Nov. 27, 2024, a ceasefire agreement brokered by the United States and France between Hezbollah and Israel has been in effect, ending months of cross-border clashes that erupted following the war in the Gaza Strip.
Despite the agreement, the Israeli army has continued to occasionally launch strikes in Lebanon, saying they target Hezbollah "threats," while maintaining forces at five main positions along the Lebanese border.
