A 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck the southern coast of Mexico on Sunday, the National Seismological Service of Mexico said.
The quake was located 14 km northeast of Puerto Escondido, a coastal city in the Oaxaca State in southern Mexico, with the focus at a depth of 17 km.
The quake was felt strongly in Puerto Escondido and other cities, authorities said, with no casualties or property damage reported so far.
