The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced Tuesday the draw of the qualifying tournaments for the 2026 Women's World Cup in Germany.
Defending champion the United States is bracketed along with Spain and Italy in the tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico, while runner-up China will compete at home in Wuhan against Belgium and Brazil.
The other two qualifying tournaments will be held in Lyon-Villeurbanne, France and Istanbul, Türkiye, from March 11 to 17, 2026.
The World Cup is scheduled for September 4 to 13, 2026 in Berlin, Germany, with 16 teams competing for the title.
The draw was conducted by Germany national team standout Marie Guelich and former France national team captain Endy Miyem.
