Gabonese President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema on Thursday announced the formation of a new government comprising 31 members.

The cabinet reshuffle follows legislative and local elections held in late 2025.

Several new ministers were appointed to key posts, including the interior, foreign affairs, justice, petroleum, and economy and finance portfolios.

The president retained several close allies in key sovereign portfolios, including Ulrich Manfoumbi Manfoumbi as minister of transport, merchant marine and logistics, Brigitte Onkanowa as minister of national defense, and Camelia Ntoutoume Leclercq as minister of national education.

The new government includes 11 women and 20 men. Under Gabon's Constitution, the president also serves as head of government.
