Tunisian Defense Minister Khaled Shili met Monday with Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Gharibi, chief of staff of the Saudi Royal Naval Forces, in Tunis to discuss boosting military cooperation, Tunis Afrique Presse reported.

Shili highlighted strong bilateral ties and pledged to expand collaboration in training, maritime security, intelligence sharing, and naval exchanges.

Shili emphasized expanding cooperation in training, maritime security, and exchanges of visits and expertise between the two navies.

He also noted preparations for the sixth Tunisian-Saudi Joint Military Commission in December.

Al-Gharibi welcomed the cooperation and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening military coordination with Tunisia.
