England women's team manager Sarina Wiegman says she has no regrets over her handling of the team's goalkeeping choices at Euro 2025, despite criticism from former England goalkeeper Mary Earps.
In her autobiography, Earps claims she once told Wiegman that she was rewarding "bad behavior" after Hannah Hampton was recalled to the squad, having previously been dropped for being "disruptive and unreliable."
Earps, 32, retired from international football just five weeks before England began its European Championship title defence in Switzerland.
Wiegman said she has not spoken to the now-Paris St-Germain goalkeeper since the book's release, but remains confident in the choices she made.
"We had a very good goalkeeper unit and the two were competing for the number one spot. I think I would have done exactly the same thing," said Wiegman when asked if there was anything she had learned from the situation.
"We kept communicating every time. As always, we try to support in the best possible way and I can't control how that comes across. There are always learnings, but I don't think, in the bigger picture, I would have done things differently," she added.
