Orla Taylor, a 16-year-old player for the Scottish football club Turriff United, passed away after contracting sepsis during the Christmas holiday .
The Spanish newspaper "Marca" ,reported that Orla Taylor developed a mild cough during the Christmas holiday. And over time, it progressed into a cold that turned into a respiratory infection, leading to sepsis .
Orla’s mother expressed her shock, stating that they never imagined they would lose her, as her condition worsened despite receiving emergency treatment .
For its part, Turriff United FC paid a heartfelt tribute to Orla, who was recently named "Player of the Year" on social media, highlighting her vibrant personality and love for football .
Sepsis, also known as blood poisoning, is a severe response of the body to infection, leading to organ failure and tissue damage. Common symptoms include fever, dizziness, chills, and delirium .
