Elon Musk has called for America to "liberate Britain" in a post on his social media platform. The billionaire has posted a poll on his X site with the caption: "America should liberate the people of Britain from their tyrannical government." It comes after Musk said that Nigel Farage should stand down as Reform UK leader adding that the Clacton MP "doesn't have what it takes." Farage, alongside the four other Reform MPs, said they disagreed with the tech billionaire’s assessment.
Responding to Musk's post calling for him to stand down, he said: "Well, this is a surprise! Elon is a remarkable individual but on this I am afraid I disagree. My view remains that Tommy Robinson is not right for Reform and I never sell out my principles." Ashfield MP Lee Anderson, said: "I would not be here without Nigel. And Nigel is right. Over the next four years Reform UK led by Nigel is going to fight for the heart and soul of our beautiful country.
"Over the past 10 months I have seen close up how Nigel operates and how hard he works pulling everything together. I don't know how he does it. There are plenty out there who want to see us fail, we love our country and we want it back."
Great Yarmouth MP Rupert Lowe said: "Nigel is leader of Reform. He made Brexit happen, and for that I will always be grateful. I look forward to working with Nigel and the entire team to continue to hold this incompetent Labour Party to account, democratise our own party, win the next election and form a Reform Government."
