According to a post on the  American company's blog on Friday ,

Brad Smith , Microsoft's Vice Chairman and President . Stated that more than half of the total investment

will be in the United States.

He added ,  "Today , the United States is leading the global AI race thanks to private capital investment

and innovations from American companies of all sizes , from startups that continue to evolve to established

corporations."

The tech giant's capital expenditures increased by 5.3% to $20 billion in the first quarter of the 2025 fiscal year .

Every general-purpose technology opens up new opportunities across the economy.

However, it requires both companies and countries to invest in new infrastructure and provide the necessary skills to their people.

This is exactly what Microsoft's  leaders are focusing on  in the era of AI, beginning in the United States.

As Brad Smith highlights , our goal is to ensure that every American can benefit from this shift to AI platforms .

whether it’s a scientist developing a new drug , a high school graduate starting a career in cybersecurity ,

a farmer adopting precision agriculture, or a small business owner becoming more competitive .
