Four people were killed and some were injured as a truck rammed into 11 vehicles and three houses along a highway in Quezon province, southeast of Manila, police said Sunday.
Police reported that an accident happened late Saturday night in Lucena City as the speeding truck lost control, rammed the sidewalk gutter and plowed into vehicles and houses.
The fatalities include the 34-year-old male truck driver and a resident of one of the houses, while some injured people were sent to a local hospital.
Three of the vehicles caught fire after the crash, police added.
