At least five members of a family, including four children, died and two others were injured when the roof of their house collapsed over them amid heavy rains in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday night, confirmed a local cop on Monday.
The incident was reported from the Habibpur village in the state's Muzaffarnagar district.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital.
An alert for heavy rains was sounded in various parts of north and northeast India for the next few days.
