A cargo plane crashed near Louisville International Airport in the U.S. state of Kentucky on Tuesday, local media quoted the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The UPS cargo plane bound for Honolulu crashed around 5:15 p.m. local time, shortly after taking off from the airport, the FAA said.
Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) and other agencies are responding to the plane crash, LMPD said in an X post.
Injuries have been reported, and a shelter-in-place order has been issued for all locations within 5 miles of the airport, police said.
