FIFA announced Thursday it has signed a preferred platform agreement with TikTok to enhance coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

FIFA said the agreement "will lead to an enhanced level of collaboration and integration," allowing TikTok to offer more comprehensive World Cup coverage, including increased original content, while positioning the platform as a central hub for fans and creators throughout the tournament.

The two organizations previously collaborated on the 2023 Women's World Cup, which FIFA said generated tens of billions of views on TikTok.

Under the new partnership, TikTok will be able to livestream selected portions of World Cup matches, publish more curated clips and access special content produced by FIFA specifically for the platform.

FIFA also said it will launch a creator program for the first time, giving a select group of global TikTok creators behind-the-scenes access during the tournament, including to press conferences and team training sessions.
