Kuwait condemned the Israeli occupation attack on a Lebanese army patrol, which resulted in casualties, in a blatant violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and of international law.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Kuwait's categorical rejection of such acts, which comes at a time as diplomatic efforts are exerted to de-escalate tension in the region. It also urged the international community to shoulder its responsibility in line with the UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

The Ministry also reiterated Kuwait's solidarity with Lebanon and its support for all that preserves its security, sovereignty and stability.
