Russia continues to keep a missile carrier armed with Kalibr missiles in the Black Sea. As a result, the threat of missile strikes against Ukraine remains, reports the Ukrainian Navy.

As of 06:00 Kyiv time on April 28, one ship armed with Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo of up to six missiles, was detected in the Black Sea.

At the same time, no enemy vessels were reported in the Sea of Azov. However, three Russian ships remain in the Mediterranean Sea, one of which is a missile carrier capable of launching up to eight Kalibr missiles.

In addition, over the past day, in the interests of Russia, the following vessel movements through the Kerch Strait were recorded:

A: to the Black Sea - 6 ships, 3 of which continued toward the Bosporus Strait;

B: to the Sea of Azov - 2 ships coming from the Bosporus Strait.

"Russia continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) of 1974 by disabling automatic identification systems," the Ukrainian Navy added.

According to a report by the UK Ministry of Defence, as of February, after three years of war, Russia’s naval capabilities in the Black Sea have been significantly limited. This is due to highly effective Ukrainian operations. However, Russian ships are still capable of carrying out long-range missile strikes.
