South Korea's automotive exports fell in October due to fewer business days, government data showed Thursday.
Car shipments declined 10.5 percent from a year earlier to 5.55 billion U.S. dollars last month, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources.
The drop stemmed mainly from fewer working days, caused by the Chuseok holiday, the South Korean version of Thanksgiving Day, according to the ministry.
Auto exports to the United States and the European Union shrank, while shipments to Asia spiked, the data showed.
