Security forces kill 14 terrorists in operation in SW Pakistan

Pakistani security forces have killed 14 terrorists and injured over 20 others during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the country's southwest Balochistan province, security sources said on Saturday.

The security forces launched the operation in the Turbat district after receiving an intelligence tip-off regarding the presence of militants in the area, the sources told Xinhua.

Security forces engaged the militants in a fierce gun battle, killing 14 terrorists and destroying multiple hideouts used by the group, according to the sources.

"A sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area," the sources added.
