Two trains collided head-on on Sunday evening in western Slovakia, leaving several people injured, the News Agency of the Slovak Republic (TASR) reported.
The collision occurred between the town of Pezinok in the Bratislava region and the capital city Bratislava. State-run passenger carrier ZSSK said it is cooperating with railway infrastructure operator ZSR, police, and emergency services to manage the situation.
Train services in the area have been disrupted, with ZSSK warning of significant delays and possible closures along the affected section.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
