A report issued by the Central Bank of Russia showed that gold was the most profitable investment asset in the Russian market during the past year, 2024.
The report stated: " In 2024, gold showed the highest return in rubles among financial instruments in the Russian market. In contrast, the construction sector saw the largest decline, but this indicator has regained part of its losses at the beginning of 2025."
Compared to 2023, the price of gold rose by 44.6% and remained stable in January 2025.
In 2023, Russian stocks were the most profitable, while ruble deposits were the best-performing asset in 2022. However, the precious metal continued to show stable growth in returns.
