Tunisian President Kais Saied on Tuesday received visiting Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss bilateral ties and regional issues, the Tunisian presidency said in a statement.

According to the statement, discussions focused on the current state of bilateral cooperation and the joint efforts to further expand it across all sectors. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to overcoming obstacles and accelerating the completion of ongoing projects.

During the meeting, Saied praised the strong ties and shared cultural bonds between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.

The Tunisian president also reaffirmed Tunisia's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, condemning attacks on civilians, blockades, and other actions by Israeli forces, and rejecting the forced displacement of Palestinians.

He added that global protests against Israel's war in Gaza signal a growing international push for justice and freedom, which will reshape the current world order.

Speaking at a press conference after the meeting, the Saudi foreign minister highlighted the importance of the visit, saying that it reflects the two countries' shared commitment to strengthening ties and coordinating positions on key regional and international issues to promote peace and stability in the region.
