Two people were killed and two others seriously injured in a collision involving two motorcycles in northern Vietnam's Hung Yen province on Monday night, the Vietnam News Agency reported Tuesday.
The accident occurred at around 9:52 p.m. when the rider of one motorcycle failed to control the vehicle's speed and collided head-on with another motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction, the report said.
Two of the victims died despite emergency treatment, while the other two sustained serious injuries and remain under medical care, according to the report.
Both motorcycles were seriously damaged, the report added.
Local authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
